into the future together

God has been so faithful to us through the years - but where is He leading us next? Sensing His leading and stepping into the days ahead takes more than good intentions. It takes intentionality. It takes more of Him. More wisdom. More expectation. It takes every single one of us. And it takes a clear plan.
One Vision is that plan. A two-year ministry plan for One Harbor Church.
One Vision is that plan. A two-year ministry plan for One Harbor Church.
what is one vision?
God has been writing a remarkable story in the life of One Harbor Church.
From a living room in 2009 to thousands gathering each weekend, we’ve seen the Lord save, restore, and send people to build His church in ways we couldn’t have planned.
Our vision is to one day fill Eastern North Carolina with Gospel-centered, Spirit-empowered, locally contextualized churches that make disciples and push back darkness.
That vision shapes our mission:
To make disciples and push back darkness. All for the sake of the Gospel.
And our values haven’t changed. We’re all about:
Gospel - Jesus is at the center of everything
Worship - our lives and gatherings expressing God’s greatness
Community - disciples growing and serving together
Mission - for everyone, it’s everywhere, and empowered by the Spirit
At the start of each year, we look back on the previous 12 months to celebrate what God has done and prayerfully ask God to help us grow and mature. This year, alongside our Annual Report, we’re also sharing One Vision: Our two-year ministry plan.
One Vision is our way of sharing where we believe God is leading us over the next two-years, and how we can move in that direction together. Our hope is that it helps align our prayers, people, and resources around what matters most. The invitation is simple: see the story God is writing here, find your place in it, and join in.
Welcome to One Vision. Let’s move forward together.

all for the sake of the gospel.

a two-year ministry plan
To make this clear, One Vision is organized into three tiers:
OUR CURRENT COMMITMENT
Tier One Initiatives
These are the ministries and people we are committed to right now. This is what we are planning to do within our current capacity, thanks to your faithful generosity and participation.

AN EXPANDING VISION
Tier Two Initiatives
This is what could grow as more people get involved. If we had more leaders, more volunteers, and more resources, building on the good work already happening through our existing ministries.

A GOD-SIZED DREAM
Tier Three Initiatives
What becomes possible as God expands our capacity. These are big steps of faith that would allow us to bless our region and strengthen the church in even greater ways.
our current commitment
Tier One: This represents much of what we are able to do over the next two years by leveraging every dollar given through tithes and offerings to our general fund.
We are currently anticipating a $10.5 million budget over the next two years.

MAKING DISCIPLES LOCALLY
So that everyone can belong, grow, and multiply as disciples of Jesus.
- Next Generation
- Helping kids see how amazing Jesus is and understand the big picture of the Bible.
- Supporting kids with special needs through Access Ministry so every family feels seen and supported.
- Raising resilient middle and high school disciples through weekly gatherings, groups, retreats, camps, and helping parents.
- Adults
- Helping adults take their next step of faith through weekend services, serve teams, and our Discipleship Pathway (Exploring Faith > New Believers > School of Discipleship > Community Groups > Specialty Growth Groups).
- Adding pastoral staff across our sites to continue to meet the needs of our growing church.
- Men + Women
- Strengthening men by building an “army of good men” who have a clear and compelling vision for their lives, brotherhood, and eyes fixed on Jesus.
- Equipping women through Scripture, prayer, and gospel friendships that deepen faith and strengthen families.
- A Praying Church
- Deepening our prayer life so we become more of a praying church - we do this after services, in groups, through workshops, and church-wide rhythms.
- A Hospitable Church
- Growing a Spanish-speaking ministry at MHC so more families can belong and grow as disciples.
MAKING DISCIPLES GLOBALLY
We want the Gospel to go to the ends of the earth.
- Playing our part in the Great Commission by planting and strengthening churches through our partnership with the Advance Movement, a global family of hundreds of churches in nearly forty nations.
- Helping Church Plant Development East (CPDE) plant churches in the Middle East and North Africa, where many communities have little access to a local gospel witness. They’re working to have a local church for every 1000 people in the Arabic-speaking world.
- Funding a week-long summer camp, through the Bridges Education Programme, for hundreds of vulnerable children in South Africa so they can experience joy, safety, and the gospel (and for many, their first shower).
- Partnering with a church in Medellín, Columbia to help rescue girls from exploitation and offer hope to young men being recruited by cartels.
- Supporting Tommy and Konni Logan from our East site as they translate Scripture for a village in Papua New Guinea. They’ve finished the New Testament and are currently working on the Old Testament.
HELPING THE VULNERABLE IN OUR COMMUNITIES
So that our neighbors feel seen, helped, and loved in Jesus' name.
- Care + Recovery
- Helping people find freedom from addiction through recovery ministry, mentoring, and ongoing support for families.
- Providing counseling and care so no one suffers alone (GriefShare, marriage support, shut-in care).
- Training and supporting couples and families through seasons such as engagement, early marriage, and new parenting.
- Practical Help
- Helping residents make homes safe and secure through repairs.
- Responding to storms and local crises, so families aren’t alone when life gets turned upside down.
- Coming alongside people under financial pressure so basic needs are met and hope grows.
- Local Partnerships Who Help:
- Rescue and restore victims of human trafficking
- Support women and families facing unplanned or unwanted pregnancies
- Serve the homeless in our communities
- Feed children and adults facing food insecurity
- Help high school students meet Jesus
- Provide biblical counseling and ongoing care
- Offer affordable dental care for those who would otherwise go without

an expanding vision

NEXT GENERATION + THEIR PARENTS
- Expanding and strengthening our Access Ministry by serving kids with special needs and their families.

- Equipping every parent to grow in confidence in leading their kids toward Jesus in everyday life (not just on Sundays).
MEN + WOMEN
- Helping every man become meaningfully connected by building friendships that form character and fuel faith.
- Supporting men at pivotal moments (single, newly married, new dads, divorce, retirement) and helping men get free of pornography addiction.
- Adding staff to help lead and organize Men’s Ministry.
- Deepening women’s community around scripture and prayer.
- Coming alongside single mothers with practical and relational support.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
- Hiring a Family Pastor to serve all sites.
- Launching a “Year of Your Life” internship for young adults to focus on Jesus, the church, and a life of service (with scholarship support available).
- Expand our residency program to train and send church planters, with housing provided during the program.
- Expanding tech teams so we can say “yes” to more events and trainings (funerals, workshops, equipping nights, etc.) for our church and community.
Growing Spanish-speaking leaders and volunteers so more families can belong and flourish across all our sites. - Developing more group leaders and training resources for every ministry lane.
CARING FOR PEOPLE UNDER PRESSURE

a God-sized dream
Tier Three: This represents what we could look to do if an additional ≈ $4.5 million came in over the next two years. Moving beyond our Tier 2 hopes, below is a list of God-sized initiatives we would love to engage if resources grew.
PLANT + STRENGTHEN CHURCHES
- Planting a new church in our area to reach more people with the Gospel.
- Helping other churches plant throughout Eastern NC.
- Raising up teams of leaders, volunteers, and pastors willing to go start new churches or add life and strength to existing churches in need.
- Building out our Church Residency program to help many emerging pastors prepare for their next step in ministry.
LAUNCH THE LOVE ENC CENTER
- Creating a dedicated hub of operations to help the vulnerable at a larger scale across the region.
- Preparing crisis response to be ready for deployment.
- Expanding addiction recovery support with classes, resources, and mentorship.
- Strengthening benevolence ministries - trainings, coaching, etc.
- Helping people move from financial stress to stability and toward a life of generosity.
- Expanding a dental ministry (and potentially other medical services) for those who can’t afford care.
- Equipping and inspiring other churches across Eastern NC to help push back darkness together.
BLESS THOSE WHO SERVE
- Offer refuge and restoration for weary pastors and counselors, by creating a space where they can be refreshed and strengthened.
- Make a sizeable impact in foster care through support, resources, andcoordinated care.
BE READY FOR WHATEVER GOD HAS NEXT FOR US
- Continue to pay down loans to increase flexibility for future projects.
- We want to expand our venues to better serve our growing
communities.
vision weekend
At the beginning of 2026, across all our sites, we introduced our two-year ministry plan. Rooted in our mission to make disciples and push back darkness all for the sake of the gospel, One Vision is our shared framework for where we believe the Lord is leading us. If you’d like to hear more about One Vision, we invite you to watch this sermon from Vision Weekend 2026.
faithful, humble, hopeful...
Brothers and sisters, we want to be a great church, that should be obvious from the above. However, we want to be more than that, we want to be great disciples of Jesus. We don’t want to gain all of our vision and lose our first love. This was the warning given to the Ephesian church in Revelation 2:2-7, they were a great church that did wonderful things, however they left their first love, Jesus.
Our church started with a rallying cry out of Acts 4:13, we recognized that we were unschooled and ordinary, but we have been with Jesus. As we aim our gaze at doing all we can for Jesus, let’s not lose our love of Jesus. This takes leadership continuing to call us to remember what’s most important, but it also takes all of us making sure we don’t drift away from the One who this is all about.
May God continue to keep us faithful, humble and hopeful as we make disciples and push back darkness all for the sake of the gospel.

a story of obedience
What you have read so far are some highlights of what we are, together, accomplishing as a church. But the ministry of the whole body does not come close to summarizing the ministry of each of its individual members. Below is a story of one man’s obedience and the gospel opportunities it has created.

ryan tetz:
a story of obedience
Bryan Hart, a One Harbor Pastor at our MHC Site, approached Ryan Tetz after church one Sunday to ask if he had any interest in exploring serving in prison ministry. Unbeknownst to Bryan, Ryan had already shared that very desire in conversations with friends earlier that week. Soon after, an invitation came to attend a tent revival at Newport Correctional Facility.
Though initially apprehensive, even turned away at the door because he was not on the approved visitors list, Ryan persisted, spoke directly with the warden, and was ultimately granted entry after completing mandatory training.
Now inside the facility, he sat alone until a few inmates struck up a conversation, questioning whether what they were hearing about God that day was real. Ryan shared his testimony and spoke candidly about his past as a growing circle of inmates listened intently. Their discussion turned to the story of Jonah, and the inmates were struck by the prophet’s raw honesty with God. The conversation was deeply personal, ending with prayer and several inmates asking Ryan to consider becoming their sponsor. By the end of that day, forty-two inmates had given their lives to Christ, and seven were baptized.
Ryan has begun pursuing certification to serve as a sponsor, allowing him to mentor inmates beyond the facility, and was further inspired to mentor youth at the Tarheel Challenge Academy. What began as a simple invitation became a clear calling to share the hope of the Gospel from Ryan’s own story.
